These are the School’s terms and conditions. There is no separate document: this page is the agreement you accept when you register.

Safety and weight limit
Riding carries an inherent risk of injury. Helmets must be worn at all times when mounted, and closed-toe shoes at all times around the horses. The rider weight limit is 75kg; the School reserves the right to decline a rider above that limit, for the safety of the horse as well as the rider. A parent or guardian must remain on site for the duration of a child’s lesson.
Missed lessons and make-ups
1 make-up lesson is available per term, to be used within 30 days of the missed lesson unless management agrees otherwise. A make-up is subject to availability and may not be with the rider’s usual coach. Make-ups are not transferable to another rider and are not carried over to the following term. Private or group lessons ridden on the rider’s own horse may be rescheduled without the one-per-term limit, but must be completed within the current term.
Fees and term rollover
Fees are payable in advance of the start of each term. A rider’s lesson slot continues automatically into the following term until you notify the School that it is to be cancelled.
Refunds
We do not generally give refunds. The exception is a non-temporary injury or long-term illness that prevents riding, supported by a current medical certificate — in that case a refund can be arranged, less a NZ$100 cancellation fee. Lessons missed without prior notice are not refunded. Refunds for holiday programmes are dealt with separately below.
Holiday programmes
A holiday programme intake runs only if the minimum number of riders stated for that intake has enrolled by its closing date. Once an intake has been confirmed to proceed, the fees paid for it are not refundable. If an intake does not reach that minimum, or the School is otherwise unable to run it, we will contact you and offer a place in an alternative intake; where no alternative is available or suitable, we will refund the fees paid for that intake in full, to the original method of payment.
Weather
The arena is outdoors. Where the School considers conditions unsafe for riding, the lesson will be cancelled and you will be notified; the cancelled lesson is credited back to the rider’s balance.
Photographs
Consent is not assumed: the registration form asks separately about four uses of photographs, no option is pre-selected, and any consent may be withdrawn at any time. The privacy notice sets out the detail.
